Save the original
I want the instrument, timestamp, source and scenario conditions recorded before I know the outcome. When I update the view, the original should remain available.
Review the conditions
Ask whether the specified confirmation or invalidation occurred. Do not replace an unmet condition with a looser interpretation after the fact.
Separate reasoning from outcome
A profitable outcome does not prove a strong method, and a losing example does not alone invalidate it. Evaluate the process across an appropriate sample.
Document the change
Explain what new evidence changed the view. A dated review makes the progression of reasoning inspectable.
